Design Criteria
All projects are 3D modeled with general sign-off procedures. The design criteria is generally based on the following items.
- Vertical or horizontal configuration
- Materials of construction:Carbon Steel, 304/L and 316/L Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel and other Stainless alloys.
- ASME code and additional standards or non-code design
- Temperature and pressure requirements
- Physical and chemical properties of the process fluid
- Preferred Inlet/Outlet Nozzles Sizes
- Flanged or NPT connections
- Closure styles, i.e. quick-opening, swing-bolt, flanged, etc.
- Non Destructive examination requirement such as RT, UT, PT, MT, WFMT, PMI, Hardness, PWHT and ferrite level testing.
- Supplemental nozzles: vents, delta P ports, clean drains, dirty drains, sample ports etc.
- Finishing’s for exterior and interior lining: Electropolishing, Passivation, Hot-Dip Galvanizing, Nickel Plating, Painting, Powder Coating, Media/Abrasive Blasting, Zinc Plating Teflon® Coating, Rubber Coating, Epoxy Coating, Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC), Thermal spray aluminum, and fireproofing.
